The “Digital Territories” label has just been awarded to the Metropolis by the government plan “France Relance”. After the awarding of the “European Capital of Innovation” prize in December 2022, this new trophy reinforces the innovative and sustainable development strategy of Aix-Marseille-Provence.
2023, a year marked by innovation
In 2022, the Metropolis was recognized on several occasions, nationally and internationally, for its innovative action. In December in particular, the European Commission awarded the title of “European Capital of Innovation”, iCapital, to Aix-Marseille-Provence. On January 18, 2023, the Interministerial Digital Department honored the Metropolis for the relevance and quality of two projects combining artificial intelligence and modernization of the administration.
The plan “France Relance” aims to stimulate digital innovation and accelerate the digital transformation of local authorities. On the occasion of the “Digital and Territories” day, two metropolitan projects, among 316 presented, were winners.
Aix-Marseille-Provence, a capital for innovation
The Metropolitan Economic Development Agenda, updated in 2022, gives greater importance to innovation. This strategy, which is based on a very high quality ecosystem, represents a powerful driver of growth and competitiveness. It is also an accelerator of transitions for the territory and a factor of inclusion for its populations.
